This method of waxing originated in the place where beach thongs abound – and although not the most comfortable – is claimed as “completely worth it” by devotees. The brazilian wax basically takes it ALL away, leaving just a tiny strip of closely-shorn hair in the front (referred to by some regulars as a “landing strip”).

Waxing Styles Available

• G-String – All hair that sits out the sides of your inner leg g-string is removed- wearing a g-string.
• X Bikini – Basically anything that sits outside of your briefs is removed. A tidy up is done at the top of the pubic area.
• XX G-String – A G-string is worn and any hair that protrudes from the sides is removed. The top of pubic area above pubic bone is also removed if required.
• XXX Brazilian bikini wax – Leaves a vertical stripe or triangular shape in the vaginal area, two to three fingers in width. Hair is removed from the labia and tush (if required).
• XXXX Hollywood (all off) – Hair is entirely removed from the vaginal area, labia and from the tush (if required).

Things Brazilian waxing virgins need to know first

• Your brazilian waxer will know you at least as intimately as your gynaecologist. You will be asked to strip down to nothing and basically spread your legs. This is normal procedure. You will be asked to move your legs around into various positions.
• Do not expect a picnic. It hurts and there is no way around this. The best practice is to be as quick as possible in order to minimise discomfort.
• The torture is not everlasting. A brazilian bikini wax should take no longer than a half hour or so, with a little longer for a “first timer”.
• Pack a tweezer (for safety) in your holiday bag to grab any new hairs that may attempt to grow.
• Post procedure relief is available. An antiseptic soothing lotion will be applied when it’s all over. If you are prone to ingrown hairs, please ask about our ingrown hair retardant products – they really work and will make your life more comfortable and your bikini much neater looking.
